A beer dispenser is a device that stores a beer keg and taps the keg to dispense the beer on draft. Several companies manufacture and sell beer dispensers, including Haier and Summit One, and beer dispensers can be used in homes, restaurants, bars and other social settings. A beer dispenser should be cleaned on a regular basis to prevent buildup of bacteria and other contaminants and to help keep the beer tasting fresh, especially when a new keg is installed.

Before the operation, you may need: bucket, jar, Spanner wrench

Steps:

1.Turn the carbon dioxide valve clockwise to turn it off and unplug the unit. Mix 1 quart warm water and 1 tbsp. beer line cleaner, available at many hardware stores, restaurant supply stores and online. Fill one jar with the cleaning mixture and pour the rest into a bucket.

2. Disconnect the keg coupler and unscrew the hex nut on the beer line, located on the top of the keg coupler.

3. Use a spanner wrench to remove the beer dispenser faucet and disassemble the faucet. Place the parts in the cleaning mixture bucket.

4. Pour the cleaning solution from the jar through the beer line to clean the line thoroughly. Follow by pouring clean water through the beer line until the water runs clear and has no odor.

5. Replace the faucet on the beer dispenser and tighten the coupling nut with the spanner wrench. Attach the beer line. The beer dispenser is now clean and ready for use.
